PORTUGAL & SPAIN : SANT ANTONI DE CALONGE

We travelled to Sant Antoni de Calonge to visit dear friends of ours whom we lived in Indonesia with for five and a half years. By chance, some other friends who lived there with us, were also visiting. We were able to spend six days catching up, sightseeing and partaking in the good things on offer in this beautiful part of the world!

The view from our Hotel Reimar. Very family & kid friendly!
(Our ear plugs came in handy!)
The beaches where swarming with people wearing little or nothing at all!
We trekked along the rocky shoreline known as "Costa Brava".
It took us just over an hour, up and down the steep rocky coastline,
through tunnels and around barricaded turrets!
Trekking up and stopping for a breather and a view.
Glorious day and place!
Looking through to Costa D'oro.
People everywhere enjoying the sun and surf!
Bocce
Dear friends picking up where they  left off.
Taking us out to enjoy TAPAS
And this is tapas. Some places you are charged
by the tapas plates you take,
others, by the number of toothpicks you accumulate .
Look what I have! A crab tapas!
Celebrating old times, good friendships
and making new memories.
Visiting a medieval village near Palamos.
Last night in Sant Antoni de Calonge, before we go to Barcelona.
Paella!!! Mmmm!
