OUR SOUTH AFRICAN ROAD TRIP - Surfs Up @ Jeffreys Bay

Our next port of call was Jeffreys Bay. We had been there the year before. Mr. O just had to have another go at boogie boarding in the famous Supertubes! We were there just days before the big Pro-Surfing Competition commenced!

But, we didn't go straight there! We had to stop off at a local seafood restaurant ( in a tent) right on the beach! Die Wallskipper.  Enjoying oysters, lobster and fish straight form the sea! Mmmm! My favourite! The staff get around barefoot and children play in the sand beneath their parents tables (or near the stove).

Local scenes heading into "J Bay".

Sunset on J Bay from Shalola Guesthouse.

Golf at St. Francis Links. They had the best GPS in their golf carts. We only played nine holes as "someone" was too eager to get back and change into "his" wetsuit to go surfing!

Enough playing! We must head back to Knysna for the annual Oyster Festival!
